Description
 

The Inventory Analyst reports to the President/Chief Operating Officer with a dotted line to the Vice President/Director of Sales and the Facility Director. Highly analytical inventory and purchasing specialist with proven record of delivering lean inventory and efficient, accurate purchasing. This position also has a dotted line supervisory role of the Purchasing and Packaging teams.

The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of the factors that influence sales rates and purchasing decisions, support and communicate plan and then apply that plan and knowledge to ensure that inventory meets sales requirements, minimizes overstocks, maximizes inventory turns and fill rates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate purchase orders/decisions and submit vetted information to VP of Sales for approval
  • Maintain inventory database (lead times, min order quantity, pricing)
  • Maintain Sales Purchase Orders and Scheduling
  • Meet with Sales Team to complete sales forecast
  • Responsible for completed packaged product inventory and delivery process
  • Optimize and maintain lean inventories, minimize physical and financial loss
  • Continued focus on improving inventory turn rates
  • Ownership of KPI’s and metrics to set department goals and measure results
  • Coach, train and mentor staff to achieve purchasing department’s objectives
  • Effectively partner with other departments throughout the organization

Candidates must possess the following qualifications

  • Accurate and detailed oriented
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Record of positive and collaborative working relationships
  • Meet challenging deadlines in a fast paced work environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related area desirable
  • 5-10 years successful experience in healthcare systems, purchasing and inventory analysis
  • Proficient with office-related computer applications: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access
  • Experience with an ERP system or Healthcare software system
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and competing deadlines

  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player
